About me

I am an award-winning features writer and editor in London who has covered everything from urban foxes and cloud aficionados to the Occupy Movement and homeless tourism. I currently work on the Guardian‘s Culture desk and I am features editor of the bi-annual magazine Eighteen Bridges.

Previously, I was a story editor for Reader’s Digest and a commissioning editor at the travel magazine enRoute – a job that took me from the Galapagos to rural Wales to Myrtle Beach.

Claim to fame: beating Margaret Atwood at the national magazine awards in Canada. Oh, and once I profiled a bison whisperer.

Here I am on Twitter.
